Effortless Data Integration
We recently utilized SAT to support a client in developing a resource-loaded schedule through a streamlined two-step process:
Supported the planner in schedule development while collecting quantities, norms and created relationships between activities and quantities.
Linked the P6 database and schedue to SAT, Updated the Norm table and captured the data (quantities) in SAT.
Step 03: Export to P6 After assigning the quantities, resource loading can be completed, by clicking on “Export Resources to P6.” Depending on the number of activities, it could take from few seconds to couple of minutes. The results in P6, were as follows:
During a review meeting, we developed a new scenario based on revised norms. By simply linking SAT to a copy of the schedule and using the “Delete Resources from P6” function, we could re-export with new budgeted units for labor, non-labor, and materials instantly.
