Effortless Data Integration:

We recently utilized SAT, to support one of our clients to develop a resource loaded Schedule. We followed the below process:

• Supported the Planner in developing the Schedule and in parallel collected the quantities, created relationships between activities and quantities, discussed and reviewed the norms (internally).
• Linked the P6 to SAT, Updated the Norm table and captured the data in Schedule Sheet of SAT.

• After assigning the quantities, resource loading can be completed, by clicking on “Export Resources to P6”. Depending on the number of activities, it could take from few seconds to couple of minutes. The results in P6, were as follows:

• After presenting the result to the clinet there was a request to develop a scenario based on revised Norms. In order to develop the scenario, below steps followed:
  •  Made a copy of the schedule
  • Linked the SAT to copied schedule
  • Updated the Norm Table in SAT
•  Removed the Resources in the schedule by using the “Delete Resources from P6” function.

• Clicked on “Export Resourced to P6”. Resources were assigned with new budgeted units for all labor, none-labor and Materials.

Even we could do a scenario of the clinet in the schedule review meeting!
